RSVP - or are you just a rude bitch?

I recently hosted a large party at my home.  I mailed out invitations to over 77 families.  I printed an invitation.  I put it in an envelope.  I put a stamp on it and I mailed them to friends of mine, friends of my husbands, and the families of the friends of my children.  20 of the families that were invited NEVER EVEN RSVP'd to the invitation.  5 families that said they were coming, NEVER SHOWED UP, and still have yet to get in touch with me to say they were sorry for not showing up to a party that they were invited to and failed to show up to.  My son went ahead and sent text messages to a few of his friends whom we had not heard from to find out if they were coming.  This is not the first time this has happened.  It happens almost every year for the kids birthday parties and I had to call people last year to find out if they were coming to my son's Bar Mitzvah.

What is the deal with people.  Doesn't anyone have manners anymore?  What happened to the common courtesy of replying to someone when they take the time, think of you and invite you to a party.  RSVP to the invitation. It's not that difficult.!!!!!Don't be an asshole!!!!!  Lets get some manners back in the world.  That's what I was taught.  When someone invites you to something, show them the courtesy of letting them know if you are going to be there.  And if you tell them you are, show up, or at least let them know something has changed and you cant' make it.

MY FIRST BLOG

OK, I don't fool myself into thinking anyone will ever read this, but as I get older and read more and live more I find myself becoming MORE opinionated then ever before.  I don't want to use my Facebook page for these things, I want to keep that friendly and social, so I decided to start a blog where I can rant and scream about all the things I see and read and hear that MAKE MY HEAD EXPLODE!!!! So to start with, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY and all the RIGHT WING TEA BAGGERS. 

I am very happy for you that you take comfort in YOUR RELIGION and YOUR GOD and that all the things you read and blindly follow in the bible or from your religious leaders help you live what you believe to be a good, true and righteous life.  HOWEVER, YOUR RELIGION IS NOT MY RELIGION!!! YOUR GOD IS NOT MY GOD!!!! AND THE RULES YOU THINK MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON THEN ME DO NOT MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON THEN ME OR ANYONE ELSE!!!  KEEP YOUR RELIGION AND YOUR GOD TO YOURSELF.  DO NOT IMPOSE HIM ON ME, MY LIFE, MY FAMILY!!!  KEEP IT OUT OF THE PUBLIC SQUARE, PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE GOVERNMENT.  But most of all KEEP IT OUT OF MY BEDROOM, MY VAGINA AND MY UTERUS.  Why is it that everyone thinks that their beliefs are the only RIGHT way to live a life.  True, certain rules should be universal, like you cant kill people and steal stuff from others.  But, don't preach to me or my friends about what we can do with our own bodies, or who was can love.  It makes me crazy.
